How to install a deep well pump

Preparation before installation:

1.Well body and equipment verification

Diameter verification: The actual diameter of the well should be at least 50mm larger than the diameter of the pump body (if a 100mm pump body is selected, the diameter should be ≥ 150mm), and a diameter gauge should be used to check for any shrinkage or collapse of the wellbore wall (deviation ≤ 10mm);

Secondary confirmation of water quality: Before installation, retest for chloride ions and sediment content (if chloride ions in coastal wells are greater than 400mg/L, confirm if 316L material is in place);

Equipment inspection: Check the impeller material (such as high chromium cast iron for sand wells), seal type (fluororubber for corrosive water), test the motor insulation resistance (≥ 2M Ω) to avoid transportation damage.

2.Preparation of auxiliary tools

Lifting equipment: Nylon slings should be used (steel wire ropes are prohibited to avoid scratching the stainless steel pump body). When the lift is greater than 50m, a winch should be equipped (with a load capacity of ≥ 1.5 times the weight of the pump unit);

Pipeline accessories: Match the pipe diameter according to the selection requirements (≥ 1.2 times the pump outlet), use stainless steel pipes for corrosive conditions, and use PVC pipes for clean water conditions (to avoid excessive pipeline losses);

Protective accessories: Install an 80 mesh filter screen on the quicksand well, rubber casing on the rock well, and install an inducer wheel in advance for the high lift pump.

On site installation:

1.Pump body lifting and positioning

Diving depth control: The water inlet should be below 1m of the dynamic water level, at least 1m away from the bottom of the well, and the total diving depth should be ≤ 70m (upper limit of heat dissipation for water immersed motors);

Vertical installation requirements: The vertical deviation of the pump body should be ≤ 0.5 ° to avoid tilting and causing impeller wear and seal failure;

Pipeline connection: Add rubber gaskets (fluororubber gaskets for corrosive water) when connecting flanges, and tighten bolts evenly (torque ≤ 25N · m) to prevent water leakage and cavitation caused by air intake.

2.Electrical wiring and debugging

Wiring specifications: The motor leads need to use waterproof connectors (IP68 rating), and the cable length should be reserved at a well depth of+5m (to avoid tensile fracture). Salt spray prevention treatment should be carried out in coastal areas;

Control box configuration: The pump needs to be equipped with water shortage protection and overload protection for 24-hour operation (if the power of the mine pump is greater than 15kW, it needs to be started with reduced pressure);

Trial operation: Run without load for 5 minutes (observe current ≤ 30% of rated value), then run with load for 30 minutes, check the water pressure (meet the total head requirements), motor temperature (≤ 75 ℃), and put into use only after no abnormalities are found.

3.Installation Taboo List

Do not allow the pump body to collide with the wellbore wall (especially stainless steel and FRP materials, which may cause coating peeling and shell cracking);

It is prohibited to install above the dynamic water level (which may cause the motor to overheat during idling);

It is prohibited to replace special seals with ordinary seals (such as using nitrile rubber for corrosive water, which will fail within 3 months).
