Methods to prevent damage to water pumps caused by prolonged disuse

Disassemble and store

If disassembly is convenient, the water pump and pipeline can be removed and cleaned thoroughly.

Check the bearings

Check the ball bearings, and replace them if the inner and outer sleeves are worn, loose, the ball bearings are worn, or there are spots on the surface.

Seal export

If the water pump and pipeline have not been disassembled, it is best to seal the outlet to prevent debris from entering.

Maintain the transmission tape

When storing transmission tape, the tape should be removed first, cleaned thoroughly, and placed in a place away from direct sunlight. Remember not to place it in areas with corrosive substances, smoke, and oil stains. Under no circumstances should the tape be contaminated with oily substances, let alone coated with rosin or other viscous substances.

Check the impeller and fixing nut

Regularly inspect the impeller and check the clearance at the wear-resistant ring of the impeller. If it exceeds the specified value, it should be repaired or replaced. Carefully check whether the fixing nut of the impeller is loose, and observe whether there are cracks or small holes on the impeller. If there is any damage, it should be repaired in a timely manner.
