How to solve the problem of mechanical seal leakage?

Reason

一、 Failure to first fill the pump with water during trial operation;

Start the pump to run without first supplying water to the mechanical seal from the external water supply;

Water shortage during operation.

-Inspection method: Disassemble the pump to inspect and investigate the damage condition of the mechanical seal.

-Solution: Replace the mechanical seal and cultivate correct operating methods.

二、 Mechanical sealing device too tight or too loose

-Inspection method: Disassemble the pump to inspect and investigate the damage condition of the mechanical seal.

-Solution: 1. Check the dynamic and static rings of the machine seal. If there are no scratches or scratches, adjust them from the beginning. 

If the dynamic and static rings of the machine seal are now worn or scratched, replace them with a new machine seal. 

2. Check if the length of the shaft sleeve meets the requirements, or if the sealing components such as the wave tube or O-ring of the machine 

seal are too loose, too large, or out of specification.

3. Check the reason for the large spindle movement. Bearing damage, replace bearing; If there is an error in the dimensions of the bearing gland, 

suspension, spindle, etc., replace the parts with different dimensions.

三、 Liquid contains particles

-Check method: Understand the condition of the liquid (whether it contains impurities, sediment, etc.). 

Disassemble the pump to inspect and investigate the damage condition of the mechanical seal.

-Solution: If there are debris, welding slag or sediment in the pump chamber and sealing chamber, it may cause damage to the mechanical seal. 

It is necessary to replace the mechanical seal.

四、 Incorrect selection (failure to select suitable machine seals according to application requirements, especially in the application environment for transporting corrosive liquids).

-Check method: Specifically understand the composition, temperature, and corrosiveness of the pumped liquid. Disassemble the pump to inspect and investigate the damage condition of the mechanical seal.

-Solution: Select a suitable machine seal from scratch based on the temperature, composition, and corrosiveness of the liquid.

五、 Quality issues with the mechanical seal itself

-Inspection method: Disassemble the pump to check the primary and critical dimensions of each part of the machine seal, and see which parts are not qualified in size.

-Solution: If there are parts that need to be replaced, immediately replace them; If there are no replacement parts, replace them as a complete set.
